101.9 does. Was it last year or the year before they started right after Halloween. I thought I was going to puke |

Some other radio stations, like Magic 105.3 and KONO 101.1, play Christmas songs every once in a while after Thanksgiving. But Soft Rock 101.9 is the only station that plays Christmas songs all the time during the holiday season. |

I like that 101.9 still holds the name "Soft Rock 101.9" in the minds of so many people. It's been 2 years ago that they dropped that name and became Q1019. And they have not been as succesful since the change, by the way. Ever since they dropped that morning guy - what was his name? Jim Conley? He was good! Everything there now seems canned. Are those people even in Texas? Just sayin' - - - |

If you happen to be one of the few dozen people in San Antonio who own an HD radio, you can hear it now on the HD-2 channel of Q101.9. Once we get within a couple of weeks of Christmas, you'll be able hear Christmas music on many stations. |

Some stations have syndicated morning shows, like Kidd Kraddick on Mix 96.1. I personally prefer the local shows - that way they are more in touch with the local SA area. However, I listen to my iPod through my car's speakers using an FM transmitter, because I get tired of all the morning chatter. I check the weather and traffic on the morning news before I leave the house. Anyways, I'm looking forward to when Q1019 starts playing 24/7 Christmas music - it really gets me in the mood for the holidays! |

I do the iPod thing too because of the morning chatter; my buggy has the Audio jack on the stereo interface. |

I'm so glad! One of the things I hated about Houston radio was that they played Christmas music too early. I like to finish Thanksgiving dinner and then put it on!! So fun! |

i think it was last year that 101.9 started playing their christmas music a little after halloween. i can handle the 24/7 christmas music after thanksgiving but after halloween is a little too much for me. they didn't do that this year... i'm sure many people complained. |
